1. What We Collect

When you place a pre-order, we collect your name, email address, and US shipping address. Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see, store, or have access to your card number or full payment details. Stripe stores your payment method on your behalf so that we can charge it at shipment.

When you join the launch-notification waitlist, we collect your email address and, if present, URL attribution parameters (UTM values) from the link you followed. These help us understand which marketing efforts are working.

We also collect standard usage data through cookies and server logs: pages visited, browser type, approximate location, and referring URL. This data is used in aggregate to improve the site.

2. Advertising & Analytics

We use the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram). These tools send event data to Meta, including page views, checkout events, and hashed email addresses. Meta receives only a hashed form of your email address. We cannot reverse it, and Meta's use of it is governed by their privacy policy.

If you prefer not to have your activity measured for advertising purposes, you can opt out via your browser's privacy controls, a browser extension that blocks tracking pixels, or Meta's own ad preferences (facebook.com/ads/preferences).

3. Service Providers

We share your data only with the vendors required to operate this pre-order program:

• Stripe: processes and stores payment method information for pre-order fulfillment.
• Supabase: stores order records and waitlist email addresses in a managed database.
• Resend: delivers transactional emails including confirmation and cancellation links.
• Vercel: hosts this website and its serverless API routes.
• Meta: receives hashed event data for advertising measurement, as described in Section 2.

We do not sell your personal information to any third party, and we do not share it beyond the vendors listed above.

4. Your Choices

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing hello@preserveprotein.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Clicking it removes you from all future marketing messages while keeping your pre-order active (if you have one). If you wish to cancel your pre-order entirely, use the separate cancel link also included in our emails.

California residents may exercise their rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what data we hold, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of sale (we do not sell data), by contacting us at hello@preserveprotein.com.

5. Data Retention & Security

We retain your information only as long as needed to operate the pre-order program. If you cancel your reservation, we delete your saved payment method immediately (via Stripe) and remove your order record within 30 days. Waitlist email addresses are retained until the product ships or the program closes.

Data in transit between your browser and our servers is encrypted with TLS. Access to our database and order records is limited to the founder. We do not use marketing analytics platforms that store your full email address.
